Quantum Leap Studios: The story so far...

Welcome to Quantum Leap Studios - an exciting new recording studio which has been set up by experienced and talented Kent based Producer / Engineer - Marcus Bishop.

Marcus began his career in sound at this very studio (then known as 'Astra') more than 15 years ago. He worked there from 1993-96 as the in-house engineer after training under, and taking over from Paul Godfrey (Morcheeba.)

He also bought the building and ran 'Absolute studios' there from 2003-04. Having sold it and moved on to all variety of freelance work, no-one was more surprised than he to be taking the reins at Monks Horton for the third time in it's 20 year history.

Over the years Marcus has recorded and engineered hundreds of local, national and international artists of every conceivable genre including; Curtis Stigers, The Blockheads, Seth Lakeman, Roy Wood, Toyah, Chris Difford (Squeeze), Anthony Costa (Blue), Caravan, Richard Sinclair, Dave Sinclair and even Barry from Eastenders!

Marcus is also a pretty decent session drummer ;-) and has been playing professionally in a myriad of styles for over 23 years!
